Children are invited to come into school wearing, bringing, or dressing up as something that includes a Digraph or Trigraph (or those who are much older- a silent letter ☺️) to help us explore this spelling pattern in a fun and memorable way.

For example, they might wear a knight costume, bring a comb, or dress as a lamb or ghost. This activity encourages children to notice that some letters are written but not pronounced, supporting their phonics learning in an engaging, hands-on way. Please don’t worry about anything elaborate as simple ideas are perfect, and participation is all about having fun while learning.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL PROPS WILL BE TAKEN IN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE DAY SO WE ADVISE NOT TO FOCUS ON THIS AND NO WEAPONARY (SUCH AS SWORDS, KNIVES ETC) ARE ALLOWED.
